Tuesday's Tribute: The Miracle of True Friendship

Today I would like to pay tribute to a special friendship that has somehow survived the tests of time, distance, fights, boys, heartbreak, even more time, and greater distance. I have not had many of these relationships, but it's not the number that counts. If you are blessed with even one, be smart enough not to test it, and just enjoy. It's one of the greatest gifts your heart will ever receive.

Who's on your mind today? Link up and let us know!

There are several people today who are talking about real, true or close friends. I am glad that you have one as well.

I do have a BFF that falls into this category. I can't imagine my life without her. She lives on the other side of the earth now, but we still talk several times a week and it's like she is right here!

Yeah Deb - you and I are on the same wavelength with this one! I'm back in the tribute game today but Mr. Linky is being weird and where is yours??

So give it up for friendship! The old ones, real and true, and the NEW ones too !! :-)

Happy Day lady!!

I am with you on this sister. My wise father told me about a month ago when I was laid off that I would find out who my true friends really are. He has been so right. My best friend ( after my wife )is about 3 states away, but I do not know what I would do without his support.

I have no tribute today, it's still Monday to me.
Now that I think of it, I don't know if I have any true friendships either. Shit, now I'm depressed.

I agree with you 100% about the miracle of true friendship -- I have a girlfriend from college who now lives far across the country but no matter how little or much we talk, we always find our way to each other immediately -- and often find our lives are running in parallel! It is a great thing!

I just hung up the phone with one of my truest friends:) We can go for weeks, months not talking, but pick right up like no time has passed:)

What a lovely post! Thanks for reminding me to send some good lovin' out to my buddies today!

It's kind of sad for me to realize that my offline friendships are not very strong. BUT, my online buds make up for it tenfold!

Sounds like you have an amazing friend. I don't. I really can't believe I don't have ONE friend that has survived time and change.

You are lucky to have amazing friends.. I have a small few that have been there for me thru thick and thin ... we are all so very blessed!

I don't have enough of those long-time BFFS. Sadly I have let a lot of them fade...

I have moved so many times that I just haven't been able to keep long time buddies. My hubby has though. I think men tend to keep their childhood friends and women don't necessarily do that.

Great reminder for me to call my BFF. We don't live near each other and months can go between conversations. But we always reconnect and pick right back up where we left off.

Yes, true friendship is a gift to handle with care, just like my Moms china, wedding ring, teeth, hair, and body (with a little coke on the side)! I am truly blessed!
