From the Bottom of My Heart

So yesterday was all about me basically holding God hostage. And after He did not meet my demands in less than an hour, I had no other choice but to turn to my blog homies (Holla!). I knew I was taking a chance, but boy, did it pay off!

I have not been blogging long, but already have my own little community of crazies. Interestingly, many are Mormon. And let me tell you, there is an irony in a Southern Baptist raised gal being greeted by Mormons. But the rewards have been immense. You (and you know exactly who you are) are the warmest, funniest, sweetest, SMARTEST bunch of people I have met in a LONG time. And yes, I do still know my own name, what year it is, and that I haven't actually "met" any of you. So that's my first bit of recognition.

The second part is to all the rest of you that were there for me, literally within minutes (and I thought I needed a life!). I had extremely relevant Scriptures, words of encouragement, and offers of a shoulder to lean on right in my comments section and in my inbox pretty much immediately. A couple of those emails hit it home for me, big time

Finally, there are those of you who may not have answered me directly. Perhaps you are going through your own hard time and your post touched me. I do derive so much comfort from reading your blogs, knowing I am not the only one faced with tough times. I hope I can be there for you, and offer you encouragement and comfort. Please! Use me!

As a "thank you", I wanted to give you all something to show my appreciation. I came up with a really cute idea for a button, but I don't know how to make a button. And my tech support (Holla, Jay!) is unlike Hillary, in that he does NOT answer the phone at 3 a.m.

So I had to make do with my own resources. Drum roll, please.......

I DID get that answer to my prayer... and it was through all of you!

Post Script: Due to the easy to follow tutorial of my blog idol, Carissa, I actually made my very first button, complete with code and EVERYTHING! (see sidebar) So now your dreams have come true and you can actually have one of my masterpieces. Now don't all grab at once. Be good kids and take turns.

OK, that's hilarious!

I adore you and you're Southern Baptist ways. Again, aren't we supposed to be archnemesis?

Okay. You are awesome. Button and all. Hope your day was/is better?

Sorry I missed the real day?

My advice. Same as Jilljills. Answers always come from other people in my experience. and since most of my life is online these days..what better way than to open it up to the whole world, eh?

Having my own stress here with the house back in Utah just sitting there, birthdays and Christmas barreling down on me, and hubby just plain grumpy and not dealing with the stress in any happy way...

Okay, sorry to unload. Need my own prayers answered ya know?

Can we have the button if we simply think YOU are an angel?

Well...I have so much to say. First, I'm so sorry I missed your post yesterday. I hope it wasn't something with the kids or family health stuff- or anything bad. I'm thinking it wasn't, but I hope things are okay. Second, I'm glad your spiritually wise blogger friends were there for you. I am more the fly by the seat of my pants spiritual friend so they were probably more help. BaHAHAHAHA

Your button is the best. I am VERY impressed:) (Hey, that almost rhymes!)

I can honestly say that I don't know what's going on, but I'm glad that God answered your prayers! He's good about doing that on his time instead of our own. It's that whole "lesson to learn" thing, I bet :)

You're in my prayers!

I know I'm lame, but I just got back here to really pick up your little picture...

And you need to go back in there and change the text inside the box...

where it says http://s416.photobucket.com.... change it to read YOUR URL. So when people click on the button it will lead them back to your homepage??

Crappy tutorial anyway...!

I sooo love your button though..center>href blahblahblah is really funny.!

I had no idea you WEREN'T Mormon too, LOL. You are just so nice, maybe you remind me of another Mormon...that IS a compliment, LOL!

Ever seen Baptists at our Barbecue...Mormons versus Baptists...equally divided in a town so when ONE new person moves in, it can tip the balances....SO funny!!

As a Christian...I am Mormon. I thank you for giving such respect to who we are. I hope your prayer was answered or comfort was given to you.

You bring comfort and happiness to so many others..and that in it of itself is an answer to another cry in prayer for someone else!! Thank you.
