His very best friend in the whole world is gay. In fact, every year, we celebrate our anniversary, and the anniversary of his friend and his partner, together. We travel together... Our kids love and look up to them.
He goes to Guatemala to treat those who have never seen a doctor, EVER.
He provides free medical care to inner city kids, with a gentle hand and a loving heart.
He values the sanctity of life, but would never, EVER, dream of telling a woman what she must do with her own body. And he certainly wouldn't judge any decision that woman makes.
He is traveling to Israel next year, to pay homage to his closest Jewish friends, yet his son is named after a dear Palestinian mentor.
He is the smartest person I have ever met. His IQ, as well as his humor and perspective, confirm this.
He never misses a swim meet, band concert or teacher conference, no matter how hard he's worked or how long he's gone without sleep.
He does laundry (I try to overlook the fact that he puts my bras in the dryer).
What an awful idiot, huh?
Post Script: He would want you all to know that he is very proud of the fact that this picture was taken years ago, and that he has been a fan longer than the other two of you out there.
I am participating in the decidedly Bi-Partisan PSF, hosted by our gals, Cecily and MamaGeek.
