A First For Me: Actual, Credible, Useful Information

There seems to be a clear consensus here in Blogtopia that Christmastime has veered way off track. It's been fun and inspiring to get new ideas and share thoughts on how to work our way back to the real meaning of the holiday. Many of us have decided to let our giving outweigh our getting, and I think that is a huge step in the right direction.

So, here's a link to some useful information when trying to decide which cause should get your attention and dollars.

Short on time? Don't want to wade through pages and pages of ratings? Well, The Cystic Fibrosis Foundation consistently gets the highest rating AND I know thousands of kids are waiting on a cure. One, in particular, means a whole heck of a lot to me. Even when he's grounded...

And, as always, thank you to Angie, our fearless leader.

Great link!!

I'm not tooting my horn, really, but wanting you to know I'm behind you 100% - the local CFF chapter does a Lemonade Pals about once a month. The final tally will be donated in March (for more info if anyone is in North Texas area - www.cfwineopener.org).

So far, Oldest and I have stopped every time we see them out.

He's developed quite a passion for lemonade.

Hugs, Em

I had given some thought to a different cause, but thank you for "leading me" and my family in the right direction.

Our efforts will be donated on behalf of "the one who must be freed!"

I didn't know that he had CF. I didn't want to ask and be too forward and nosey. (Like I'm being now.)

When my #3 was born we lived in MA and they do a new born screening for CF. He was flagged and had the sweat test. It turns out that he is just a carrier (I am too), but I sure learned a lot during that time.

Aww Deb! I love your serious moments. :) The first blog I ever read of yours was your post about your precious son, a few months back. I hadn't known until now what exactly it was that he had. One of my distant relatives has that as well. He's in college now. I think CF is a wonderful foundation and it's awesome of you to post such a wonderful blog about it! ~Hugs~

PS: I got the button thing figured out, did you see it?! lol
