Wordful Wednesday: Jealous Much?

Okay, all of you women out there... Don't think I haven't noticed you throwing yourselves at my good bud, Jay, Mr. Halftime Lessons, himself.  You should be ashamed. Very ashamed. HOWEVER, before you go looking for your dignity and self-respect, please, take this golden opportunity to fawn over the young hunk. Consider it a gift... No need to thank me.

And by the way, today just happens to be his birthday! Happy Birthday to my favorite prom date of all!

This post has been brought to you by the year 1985 and, of course, that Wordful Wonder herself, Angie!

Okay. Maybe I'm missing the point here. I'm like on my last leg of awareness before bed time. And it took me two freaking hours to post that tribute!!!!!!

Is that Jay?? I didn't think you really knew each other??

Love the dress though... and the do. ;)

OK... seriously... 1985?? I was BORN that year!

Just saying.....

Happy Wordful Wednesday. My entry today is one part cats, and other goodie tidbits from an alphabet challenge. Won't you stop by and say hi?

I did not know that your love affair with Jay went back that far. That's pretty cool and the picture...what a treasure! Happy Birthday to Jay, today!

BAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA wait there's more BAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

Okay, I'm done now. I was out of college and working by 1985.

I'm heading over to Jay's now.

I'll just throw it out there since we're all thinking it...

Were you the one to "deflower" him?

Ironically enough, I went with a "Jay" to my Prom as well. We do have great taste.

P.S. I'm rounding up a posse to take out Young Momma. Whipper snapper. Who's with me!?

I had a feeling that for Jay's birthday you might pull out all the stops........and post this. I even posted a little early so that I could make you number one on Mr. Linky, but alas, you hadn't scheduled this to post so I had to wait until morning.........:)

Seriously.........classiest prom picture I've ever seen. And since it's from the 80's, that's saying a lot. :)

Em,
I'm with you........Young Momma just made me feel really, really, old. he he. :)

OH. MY. DEAR. BARBARA.

I am blushing from head to the nipples that my cardboard tuxedo shirt rubbed off because my father never thought to teach me about undershirts.

I will be back as soon as I regain my composure.

(PS - How HOT is my date??!!!! MEOW)

leave it to Em to drag a perfectly innocent surprise straight into the gutter!

for your information, there was no deflowering going on (i'm pretty sure he was still drooling over suzann)! i wanted to get that out of the way before jill showed up and things got even more out of hand.

and really? husband and wife? we can't be... we don't fight.

I love the photo and Happy Birthday Jay! The throwback - I am afraid of posting a photo liek that one.

Halftime Lessons said...

On the contrary.

Given that I was 17 years old with very little game, I am fairly sure I must have gone home after prom and made sweet sweet love to myself.

Never went to prom— though I was asked to go to one with a friend who was still in HS when I was in college. Unfortunately I had other things I was doing that weekend and couldn't attend.

Happy Birthday prom date!

By the way, Young Momma, 1985 was back when we didnt treat each other's bodies like playgrounds in high school. Sex was a luxury.

Then, the 90s hit, and with it a flood of fornication.

Now, I'm married, 2 kids. Sex is a luxury again.

Welcome to the circle of life.

That picture is totally awesome! I think my brother has one that looks very similar from the same year!

Happy B-day Jay!! (and yes, we are throwing ourselves at him. And after seeing that, who wouldn't?) ; )

Too funny. I'm sure I could scrounge up a 1985 prom picture that would compliment this one very well!
