Tuesday's Tribute

Tuesday's Tribute
Yet Another Jay and Deb Production.

Ugh, this was a tough one for me... I have been short on time, short on patience and have not been in a tribute-y mood, whatsoever. My family isn't doing it for me these days, and my friends are striking me as shallow and extra competitive lately. What's a co-host of Tuesday's Tribute to do? After mulling over my tribute options (p.j.'s? hard-boiled eggs?), I decided to set the bar really low for those of you that might be on the fence about participating. When brainstorming about the rules/guidelines for our Tribute Tuesdays, Jay and I both agreed that casting a wide net was important. We wanted to give everyone options. Lots of them. So I am going to take advantage of my vast options. Please feel free to do the same. Make it what you want it to be... Or what you need it to be. There's always next week to talk about how great your kids are.

Today I am shining a spotlight on snow. Those of you who live in northern climes might be rolling your eyes... Those of you that live farther south may be wondering what, exactly, it is I am talking about. The simple act of God that brings beauty to brown lawns and the hope of a snow-day to school kids everywhere. It's been in short supply here this winter, but driving a short three hours to the mountains this weekend gave my family a refreshing and much needed opportunity to romp in the frozen whiteness that brings so much joy, just by being.

Sorry things are rough up there right now. Good vibes being sent your way.

And I totally get you on the snow thing - we had freezing rain yesterday. Not quite as fun, but it makes all the trees look like sculptures. I love that.

On the bridges, not so much.

Hugs.

Your family is not doing it for you? Did you get gyped at Christmas? And your friends.....I'm sorry to say this, but it's your selection. Remember how you picked another redhead to be your bloggy BFF? Just think about it....makes sense right? Totally kidding because your post just killed me to day.........in a good way. I was totally laughing in the first paragraph, and then loving your tribute to snow. We took our kids to Utah to the snow last week. THEY LOVED it...made me really grateful for it.......especially the fact that I an visit it, my kids can enjoy it, but I don't have to shovel it. :)

Nice- I am bummed about no snow here yet either!

I couldn't muster a tribute today- it took everything I had to not be negative- I will try next week- apparently it IS still all about me.

Ahhh, snow. I lived in the Midwest for a long time and grew to become quite annoyed with the fluffy white stuff, but now that I live in a different climate where it's not as prevalent, I love it again. There's just something about a fresh dusting of snow on the ground. And something even better about a fresh dusting that results in a snow day, eh? Great tribute. :)

Thank you for stopping by my blog!

I'm from Minnesota, could I send you some snow...please LOL! As for friends and family, yeah, it's going around.... I'm feeling it and my clients are too. So don't worry only a few more weeks of "no support"..

Why are we in the same mood? It's frightening. I'm in the throes of pms (yes, I actually wrote that), everyone in the house is sick and I am SO bummed I missed out on the last couple Mondays I REALLY want to do this new one. Jay's post intimited me. So, I'm off to think of a tribute. Yea, I am.

Hey, Deb! Thanks for stopping by! I edited to add a link to your site.
I personally can't stand the snow.I love it when it is new and white, but not a fan of the cold it brings along!
Hoping things get a little more smooth in Pizza land!

We've barely even seen snow this year so far. It's sad. we used to see it a lot. Damn global warming.

My family is pissing me off too. Looking onward to tomorrow where normal schedules begin again.

Oh Deb - your tribute was just perfect. And makes me feel like I can do this tribute thing. I was thinking BIG - like I need to really rock out on an epic tribute kinda post but I actually love the simplicity of your snow tribute. I haven't seen the white wonder in quite a while over here in So Cal but I'm planning a snow romp to the local mountains soon.

Sorry you're feeling so...whatever. But hey we're all here to do a funny song and dance routine to make you smile, right???

Oh, Deb you should pop on over to my house for the day. We don't have much snow here (only about 6 feet in my front yard), but it's enough to get you through your snow withdrawal.

Oh and the mountain passes around here?...yeah closed most of the time, due to avalanche or snow slides. SO..enjoy where you are and come visit our snow anytime!

I am glad that you are liking the snow. It is not doing anything for me, maybe its b/c we have about 3 more months or it.

Anyway, I am new here and I love this idea. I have to get my post in. Better late than never.

See, I leave for a week and you and Jay do it again. (heh) What is this crap about it not being about me? Are you guys crazy? ok fine.

Let's run away together for a couple of days and pull pranks on Jay. Call me. I am so serious.
