TT: One Hot Mama

So, apparently my "What Am I Wearing?" post generated quite a bit of interest from some of you men (and a couple of you gals). I have to say, it was unexpected, but I'm quite flattered. So, today, I present to you a close up version of the photo that you all found so sexy. Don't look if you don't have time to take a cold shower immediately after...

Yes, I do realize I am blessed to be the custodian of a little gift from God, the Viking range. But no, I don't use it to it's potential, whatsoever. It was in the kitchen when we moved in, and at the risk of losing any potential endorsement deal with Viking in the future, it is sufficient. It heats my chicken nuggets and frozen pizzas just fine. It hasn't turned me into a chef. It hasn't made cooking so fun, I gave up reality TV to spend time in the kitchen. But it does what it's supposed to do, and I certainly can't (and won't) complain. I will say that I do enjoy having a gas stove, because it gets the job done quickly. But I think that is true with all gas ranges, regardless of make.

I will point out, just to reinforce all perceptions that I am completely incompetent, that the far left nob is missing, and has been for approximately 2.5 years.

Now it's your turn. Surely you can find something to declare adequate in your life! Tuesday's Tribute awaits!

I didn't even realize the knob was missing until you said anything. I just kept thinking, "Ooooh, what a shiny, sexy stove!" :)

heh heh heh

She said knob.

Im sorry, I cant cook. But I CAN be immature...so there's that.

That being said, I'm very happy for the two of you. And your husband.

I have the 9 burner one that does exactly the same recipes as yours. Our Stoves probably wish they were as loved as Paula Dean's stove is...

I covet it. Yes, I will admit it.

MMMMMM Viking. My dream tool. I was a meat chef at a French restaurant for 2 yrs. The Viking line just speaks sexy to me. The curves, the finely sculpted features. MMMMMM

But right now I would rather have a hot tub.

My non-Viking range is NOT adequate. I really hate it with all of my being. IT's ELECTRIC.

I didnt notice the missing knob either, I was busy drooling. Wanna trade? I have a cheezy old stovetop and wall oven. Think of how much more I could cook and bake with THAT oven.

My husband would be drooling with pure, unadulterated lust if he could see that picture (pin up). I love that it is a Viking! That sounds less snobby than Jenn Air (can't you just picture a nose turned up into the air).

It's a cool stove. I wouldn't drool though, and I will admit I didn't notice it in the picture of you with your snazzy clothes. BAHAHAAHA I save drooling for truffles or hot guys.

I have a Viking too - mine just isn't that fancy/shiny color - I had mine changed to white to match everything else in the kitchen (stupid move). I love mine - we got it almost 7 years ago when my old stove was "going". I wouldn't trade mine for anything - it will last forever!

Pea green baby, pea green.

My sister-in-law talked me into putting a gas range in our last house. I was scared to death to use it.

Now I miss it so much.

Stupid electric. Jamie Oliver would still burn eggs on the damn thing.

I agree— gas is so much better than electric when it comes to control. Don't worry about the knob, we have only one knob on our range hood so we have to switch the knob over when we want to use the light, then switch back when we want to use the fan. Knob or no knob, you are blessed with a really cool stove.

In honor of your earrings, I posted about my wife's bead-making ability.

I once almost bought a house for the 6 burner Viking range and double Viking Fridge. The owners were chefs. The rest of their house was OK, but not what I really needed.I did keep it on the short list in hopes I would warm up to the whole package. I droolover that stove!
