And I am so seriously off-track right now. Enough about me.
So my old buddy, CaJoh, is celebrating his birthday today. And what I love about CaJoh, other than the fact that his nom de plume makes him sound like a cult leader, is the inspired simplicity of his blog.
What does any of this mean? And why should you care? Okay, well, here... let me spell it out:
CaJoh + Meme = Friday's Feast (yay!)
It's a simple one, really. You just have to talk about food (oh darn, right?). So I am going to dig deep within me for any vestigial memeing abilities, and see if I remember how to play.
Here's what I have to say about food:
1. You really can acquire a taste for those God-awful, healthy bran muffins (the hungrier and more desperate you are, the better).
2. If you are interested in obtaining the worst morning breath known to mankind, eat something with pesto for dinner the night before.
3. And now for my all-time favorite, which bears frequent repetition... Oatmeal is a totally acceptable and healthy dinner for your children (and disillusioned but hungry husband).
Happy Birthday, my friend, and Happy Weekend to the rest of you. Oh, and don't get used to all of this sociability... Back to our regularly scheduled programming posthaste!

I always see or remember a meme a day late. I'm also terrible with the theme of the memes...my mind becomes a total blank.
So...once I looked up vestigial...(good word!)...I thought hey, i can probably handle talking about food. I certainly think about it enough.
Oh yeah, this is about you! Sounds like you have plenty of fiber in your diet. Yay for fiber! Smiley face for fiber- ;-)
Cereal and the occasional bowl of ice cream are also good dinner ideas......really, they are.
I'm not sure about that muffin comment.
You know who has the BEST bran muffins? Mimi's Cafe. I don't think they can really be described as Bran. They are super, super sweet.
If you pu tenough butter on a bran muffin, it tastes ok. And if you run out of stuff to write - try Plinky prompts.
I am a terrible meme person! I get too involved!
I like pancakes for dinner...I have been known to throw a bowl of cereal out for dinner fare too:)
I haven't done a meme in months! It's been sweet!
BAHAHAHAHA I've never done the oatmeal for dinner. French Toast is my thing. I have a big electric grill and can make 6 or 8 slices at a time depending on the size of the bread. Man, is it fast!
I've NEVER gotten a taste for bran muffins. Just can't do it.
My kids should be so lucky as to get oatmeal for supper. When there is no supper plans, they get cold cereal.
What? I think all good mothers feed their children cereal for random meals.
Excellent, I'm offically off the guilt hook of feeding my kiddos breakfast for dinner :-)
Hmmm, pesto.
I heart oatmeal! We have breakfast, although the eggs or pancakes kind, often!
I too can not do memes. I am with you girl. I am a big foody. Cajon is awesome. I hope you are well my friend. Miss you. Much love.
I have been trying to think of ways to get away with feeding my husband oatmeal for dinner for the last week. How do you do it Deb, seriously? I think the only way I could get away with it is making oatmeal with shredded chicken in it.
