Here I am, many days late, and much more than a dollar short (thanks to the wonderful subjects of my video). Nonetheless, I present to you the second installment of Teen Talk. As this series of mine has evolved, the one thought that keeps returning is, I should have looked into boarding school way back when I threatened to the first time. Oh well... At this point, the end of my time as their guardian is drawing nigh, so I might as well use them to my advantage as much as legally possible.

Okay, a few things:
(1) Love the hair.
(2) Love the outfit and accessories.
(3) Love the Star Trek sound randomly heard in the background.
(4) Hope I'm in full-on Alzheimer's mode by the time my two daughters are teenagers.
Oh, and....LOVE the hair! :)
Ditto to all said above!
I would add, teens are good for fetching the remote, which I guess kind of falls under your first point, but whatever. They are also good at neck rubs, especially if you keep them deprived of social contact for a while. Mine are also handy at figuring out what I've done wrong to the computer or blackberry.
Oh and just wait...in a few years you will have 2 dying to run every errand for you!
I'm so glad I found you!
I so need this...I've got a tween (11 will be 12 in Aug).
I'm proud to say, I have been "using" him a lot. But instead of the couch relaxing? I'm online!
heh heh!
GREAT video!
OMG I am ROLLING!!!!!! That was so funny and so TRUE!! Okay now I am crying. It's so true!!
You are sooo cute! And I do think you should threaten boarding school. Every day. Every chance you get.
As you said, I am glad my time as the guardian is almost up.
good things about teens???
um, uh, wait, I DID have something......
I also love the hair! Love this post! If you find a really cheap boarding school, please let me know! Maybe, if we combined our teens we could get a better rate! LOL
Loved your video blog. I could tell this was very difficult for you but you came up with TWO different items. Very very nice.
After just stripping the sheets because Oldest's sippy decided to leak, which came right after the 10-minute tirade from the Youngest over getting out of the tub, which came after his 10-minute tirade of having to get in to the tub, I'm thinking sitting on the couch and a little manual labor doesn't sound too bad.
Thanks for giving me something to look forward to!!!
P.S. LOVE the hair too :-)
Take it all back. Just went to tuck in Youngest - "Luv-u Mama!" as I'm walking out the door.
They know just when to go in for the kill.
Again - I'm with you on the topics of teen talk. Please keep doing this post- it's hilarious!
lol, u r too funny deb!! teens are good for manual labor, thats what i keep telling my soon to be 13 year old anyway, but shes not having any of it!! ;)
Mine aren't even teens yet and I use them for manual labor. ( hiding from DFCS ) I figure it good practice for more in the future. Loved this installment. Your the best.
So you're saying I should start looking into boarding schools NOW!?!
You are hysterical and right on the money!
STILL NOT ready!!
Love your hair!!
Deb,
I can not stress to you enough how natural and good you are on camera!!! You need to submit yourself for the Momversation guest panelist thing they have going on. Go over there. You would win. At least you should win. You are very good on camera. Did I say that already?
Also I LOVE and ADORE the fact that I can sit down when my kids are teens!! I had never even thought of that and I am soooooo damn tired of being on my feet all day along chasing around my lil' ones. I am much too old to have an almost 2 year old BOY! What was I thinking??
And your hair!!! It changed and you didn't even tell me. Wow. Looks awesome. You look all summer fresh....bring it on!
:-)
Yeah, your hair is cool by the way. Manual labor-- YES, the number one benefit of having teens. I am a master of timing out grocery shopping so they are home and can carry it all in. OR the winter is so cold here you can even leave refrigerated items in the frig. Oh yes.
Loved seeing you again:)
Oh, I so love child "help!" :0) Only have one moody teen girl and love to see it come out while mopping...with my feet up, eating a bowl of cereal, while listening to you...tehe. I've told my girls many times..Why do you think I had you??? Ok that goes back the the prior post of parental anxiety...maybe I should re-word that. Do the work or no dinner? No friends? No underwear to have for school?...I am becoming my parents:)...
Not to make light of the real issues of childhood to current. For those are deep and tender. Hugs to you...
Oh lovely. Sounds like a blast.
I've not been so good at reading blogs, but I'm glad I'm back at yours!
